Anyone of any age or belief can receive Reiki, it is not related to any religion, it is a Japanese energy balance technique and it is not associated with a spiritist religion pass, for example. Pregnant women, the elderly, children and babies can receive this therapy.

Reiki was welcomed by the Ministry of Health through SUS in integrative and complementary practices, and is present in some municipal health units and in several hospitals in São Paulo and Brazil.
